  3. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a spoon, drop small balls of dough into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
